Narsima, after Narasimha.
Narsima (nar-SEE-muh) takes its name from Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Vishnu in Hindu mythology.

The tyrant Hiranyakashipu held a boon: he could be killed by neither man nor animal, neither by day nor by night, and by no weapon. Every condition was covered.

His son, Prahlada, refused to worship him and held that Vishnu was present everywhere, even in the pillar his father mocked.

The tyrant struck the pillar. From it emerged Narasimha: half man, half lion, at dusk, armed only with claws. Every condition met, and the tyrant undone.
